Frequently asked questions

Can Photography be studied alongside more academic qualifications such as maths and sciences?

Absolutely! We have students who study photography as part of a set of creative A-levels but we also have many students who study Photography as a creative outlet alongside more theoretical qualifications.

Do I need to have my own camera?

You are welcome to use your own camera if you have one but we have a range of cameras for students to loan for the duration of the course. We also have high specification Canon cameras for short term loaning for photographic shoots.

Do I need to have studied GCSE Photography to do the course?

Not at all....we teach all skills in using a camera, digital skills, artistic techniques to bridge any gaps so all students can achieve high grades on the course.

Are there any trips for conducting photo shoots?

We run trips to London and Newcastle and students have the opportunity to go to New York with the sixth form which is an amazing opportunity for Photography.
